Pruned

It's been a much-needed at-home, catching up day! :)

I haven't had a chance to record it yet. On Thursday, the trees in our garden got cut back. Not just cut back but quite severely pruned! A special machine was hired for two days to do the work. The flame tree outside the living room window was spared, but the eucalyptus tree in front of the bedrooms is much depleted. The light flowing in is phenomenal!

Sadly, it's the birds who have been most affected. Poor things have to find new homes! It was remarkable how much louder they were on the Wednesday evening before all the pruning happened. G reckons they were having big discussions about where to relocate! ;)

So sad that England lost the rugby, but pleased they made it to the final. We couldn't find a way to watch any of the action LIVE. G eventually found something on YouTube which did a running commentary with a few graphics. All this tech and it feels like you're living in the dark ages!
