Cultural day

Kalmar theatre has offered a day of cultural meetings under the name "Ljus på världen", Light on the world. It's the closing day of a week full of all kinds of culture in the city of Kalmar; houses, art, music, books, poetry, food and so on. The week is organised by people within the council of Kalmar and is free for the audience meaning it's funded by tax money and probably some donations from local companies. 

The week was called "Ljus på Kultur", Light on Culture so, this last day is dedicated to all our immigrant groups and individuals who lives here. Kalmar theatre has been hosting a full day of events and I have had the privilege to work there the whole day and have been able to see all of it and to meet  new people. My feet and legs are tender now, having been standing on more or less 12 hours. It's been a fantastic day though, full of joy and pride to be able to share your own culture to everyone in the house via dance, music, art, food and clothes.
