Signpost, Christchurch Art Gallery

A great day today, after a marvellous summer evening last night.  This morning I went into the City with a couple of friends.  It was very quiet because I guess most people were at the beach.  I hadn't seen this sign outside the Art Gallery before, a nice idea, I think.  

We headed to Camp Bay in the afternoon.  Warm enough for a swim in early November.  This is unheard of for me.  I was encouraged, though, because the friend visiting me is into cold water swimming, so she shamed me into it.  The water was cold, but certainly not unbearable.  Let's see how she goes in Lake Tekapo, though.  I'm sure she won't get me in there!
