Pap of Glencoe
I was in Ballachulish for an Olympus Landscape Masterclass with Steve Gosling. I've not done one before, and I found it very helpful and rewarding. The day was gray and damp, and it turned to steady rain in the afternoon. We were warned that great photographs were most unlikely, and that the real purpose of the day was learning. Nevertheless, I was pleased with my images when I reviewed them.
My blip is taken from outside St John's Episcopal Church near Ballachulish. In front of the Pap of Glencoe is the lower slope of Meall Mor above Ballachulish village. It wasn't one I took much effort over; I was filling in time while waiting to get in the minibus. Please take look against the black background of the full-size view.
As an extra I have included the tiny chapel in the churchyard. This is thought to be the storehouse where Bishop Forbes preached to large gatherings from the doorway. This was during a time when the Episcopal Church in Scotland was outlawed.
My other extra is from Glen Coe, from the popular waterfall viewpoint, but looking in the opposite direction.
