Hooked & GOBSMACKED?

I promised Alice I'd read one of her books sometime. I never did (in time) :¬(
SO - I finally got around to it.
GOBSMACKED - 1st:-
I'm quite familiar with Sci-fi, even Sci-fantasy, - BUT - Sci-Porn ?!?
Then hooked:-
Trouble is I got hooked on the STORY (s) and have developed a skill at rapidly skimming past all the descriptions of what he has, what it's like, where he puts it and how, etc. Makes them a LOT faster to read too.

Today I decided to make sure I had them in correct order, prior to parting with them.
I suspect it's by intent :¬) but, once in order, they make faces. Seems the Changelings mate for life and "mark" their mates, hence the healing scars.
Set "here", but a 100+ years on and with 3 "Races" Human, "Psy" - telepaths etc. and "Changelings", who, in turn, have races - as in Leopards, Wolves, Hawks, etc.
Whence cometh the series name.
Anybody remember "Manimal". Unlike him these folk are bound to ONE animal, of their pack type.
I became sufficiently hooked I actually sent off for a missing one.
