Dawn Redwood

One of the few conifers which are deciduous. Metasequoia glyptostroboides originated from China. We are fortunate that Surrey County Council had a highway engineer with a love of trees one of his roads has an avenue of Dawn Redwoods, about 30 of them. I remember planting a number along a road in Bolton nearly 40 years ago.
