Ofrenda Beginnings

Our town has decided to put on a show for the second night of Día de los Muertos. Various groups are in charge of constructing Ofrendas along the pedestrian walkway for display this evening. Some of them are so intricate that they began building yesterday and the "bones" of these entries were on display this morning as I rode through. We returned this evening to see the finished product (extra) with our friends who just arrived from Utah and were totally amazed by the number, variety, and elaborateness of the designs. Here is hoping this becomes an annual tradition so I can arrive earlier in the day to get better finished photos next time.
