An enforced absence

So yesterday I made a conscious decision not to post a blip.  I hadn't taken a photo of anything and decided to let the perfectionist in me take a step back to prove to myself that the world wouldn't end if I didn't blip!  

Once I commit to something I find it really difficult not to follow it through to the n-th degree.  I needed to break the cycle of not posting every single day because now I've missed a day, the chain has been broken.  Life is so busy at the moment and I decided the added stress of trying to find a photo every day wasn't worth that extra bit of pressure I was placing on myself.

My initial aim was to post a photo every day for a year but I actually made it past 500 days.  I've done what I set out to do and everything else moving forward is now a bonus ... not an additional stress!

The lift doors seemed particularly appropriate today.
