An essential ingredient

We are very pleased and proud that this Brewery has made its home in our town where today it is a brewing day and you can get a whiff of hops being brewed as soon as you step outside. The brewery is one of only a handful of purpose built and designed brew houses in the country, the building created to fit around the brewing plant.

My picture shows the malt being winched up to the store room where it then gets milled with the other ingredients before onward transmission to the brew room.

I am taking T on one of the Brewery Tours sometime soon after which I will no doubt have a better knowledge of the mechanics of perfect beer making; we'll sup a sample or two and then have a meal in the pub. Oh ... just thought, as a Coeliac sufferer perhaps I shouldn't drink beer with two of its ingredients being malt and barley - oh well, I'll just stick to the wine!

And look at that blue sky - still cold, but a significant improvement on yesterday.
