A Walk in the Arboretum

We awoke this morning to a gorgeous fall day. Last night we switched the clocks back to standard time....although I haven’t suffered much jet lag at all, the time change really is a bit much.

Regardless, we went on our usual Sunday morning hike in the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland. The recent cold has encouraged many of the trees to drop their leaves but we found a grove of maples that flowed against the brilliant blue sky.

Spent a lovely afternoon with my co-grandmother and our grandchildren. Truly a lovely re-immersion back into reality!
