2019 Saturday — 29th Annual Cayucos Car Show
We left our SoCal home at 6:23 this morning. This might have been our fastest time ever — 3 hours 47 minutes of driving. We actually stopped 3 times — once was to walk the pups in Lookout Park in Summerland, just south of Santa Barbara. We were in Cayucos by 11:00 a.m.
I had seen postings that this was the Annual Cayucos Car Show weekend, but I had not told Mr. Fun, so he was quite surprised when I mentioned it as we exited the freeway behind a hot rod.
Once we got the car unloaded and look a couple hours to “chill,” the two of us walked to the downtown display of dozens and dozens of “show” cars. It was quite a show. We started walking about 1:30 and within moments we were at the show and hearing the announcement that car owners would be invited to start and rev their engines at 2:00. I was so glad we were there for that moment — of course we could have used some earplugs (the engine sound was very loud).
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
P.S. Later we went to Martin’s (marteen’s) Restaurant for dinner. It was fun to watch all the car show people having fun in their various groups while eating dinner.
