With Dad this afternoon, watching ‘Stan & Ollie’ movie (and very good it is too). Dad mentioned that my grandad was friends with actor James Finlayson - a frequent player in Laurel & Hardy films and believed to be the originator of the “Doh!” exclamation.

Dad then bought out a massive old book - The International Film Encyclopaedia by Ephraim Katz, dated 1979. Bought for 30p in a charity shop.

Well if you don’t have a smartphone you need to settle those film/actor arguments somehow!
