Empire biscuits...kinda

I don't understand how they're like perfect golden discs in the shops. Mine just melted into thin splodgy puddles. Tasted fine.

Maybe I should just cook a big sheet of the biscuit stuff then cut it into discs when it comes out of the oven? Seems a bit wasteful :-/
