Still Life with Caffeine

Hoo. Well, today I had meetings outside the office. While out and about, I decided to investigate the intriguing sounding brewlabcoffee.co.uk up near Edinburgh University. They specialise in high-end "artisan" single estate coffee.

It's quite a place. I loved the decor (which has been described elsewhere as "post-apocalyptic primary school") and the service. The coffee came very deconstructed: a cup, a saucer, a small jug with drip filtered coffee. No one mentioned milk or sugar. The brew tasted surprisingly light yet full, soft yet fruity. I loved it. Ten minutes later, though, I was regretting not eating something with it - experienced a caffeine high while trying to talk coherently about work related matters.
