Blip Meet

The blip meet on Saturday November 16th. from 10.30a.m. will be at Lingholm Kitchen, Portinscale, Keswick, CA12 5TZ.
This is off the A66 just north of Keswick.

Hilary will be there and looks forward to meeting her many friends.
Sadly hibou will not be there as her husband is ill.

Hope to see many lakeland blippers there.

Todays blip.

Main blip: the car ferry fro Ardrossen to Arran which we shall be using next May for a holiday on the island.

Extra. Back to the 1950s. Nowadays millions of city dwellers think meat comes on polystyrene trays wrapped in clingfilm.

We oldies remember when every town and decent village had a proper butcher’s shop. Mr. Jones in Dad’s Army knew how to run one.

Here is proof that this way of doing things still exists in traditional towns like Peebles.
