Bonfire Night

We didn't have a bonfire, or even proper fireworks, just a few sparklers to amuse Violet who comes from school to us on Tuesdays for a sleepover now.  She was happy with this for about 15 minutes and then had had enough.  The carrot in her hand is a tip learned on TV last night: sticking your sparkler into a carrot provides a safe handle and prevents burns.  It worked for us!
