A Surprise Spider

As we hiked down to the ocean on the Hilo side of the Island, I stopped to take a photo of this tiny flower. It wasn't until I downloaded it that I saw the insect.....I think it is a spider. Ellie was a trooper.....she ran back up the trail...it was a nice wide paved trail so she was on even ground, but WOW, I was sweating and she was not even breaking a sweat.....we were all very impressed!!!  Obviously I am feeling much better, but I was very grateful that our son was willing to drive....my husband didn't want to go touring today.  See the extra for an extremely large spider.
