Family matters

It’s hard to get a good photo of Kangaroos on a sunny day because they spend all their time in the darkest shade they can find.

This is a family, dad on left, mum on right, big Joey standing with head in pouch having a drink of mother’s milk.

Dad had been scratching mum’s head and sniffing her belly for a while. In the end impulse over-ruled decorum. He gently lifted joey’s head out of the pouch and stood him up a couple of steps away then chased mum across the fairway hoping to add another line to the family tree.

Joey hopped along a few paces behind, probably wondering if he was going to get any more milk this afternoon!
