Light through the trees

Dear Diary,

The early morning light is lovely this time of year.  It promises to be a nice day albeit a frosty start.  Rebecca and I are going to the Conway Humane Society this afternoon to see if there is a kitty there for me.  I am going to get an older cat because they are most often overlooked by those wishing to adopt but they want a forever home just as much as the young ones.  I don't know if I will be able to bring one home today.  I don't know how long it takes for them to check references.  They are very careful about these things as well they should be.  I have everything ready though so fingers crossed that today I will be a pet parent again!
