Mess

Well ahead of schedule, I walked to work today. Admittedly, "work" isn't quite as far as it used to be and I didn't head straight up the Playfair Steps (but plodded up Cockburn Street instead), but equally I did head straight into a 2 hour postgraduate seminar which I was leading when I finally got there. I also went straight up the north face of the New Town rather than up Leith Walk, as I wanted to see what sort of mess was being made of Princes Street Gardens, and the answer is "quite a lot". Little else exciting happened, but I did get a taxi home, as I was weary in the afternoon. I missed a bus by a short nanosecond, and a taxi came before the next bus.
