Fall is still around
We had about a two hour ride early this morning to my son's house to pick up our dog on the way home which took us along the road around Watauga Lake. The sun was just coming up and hitting the trees along the shore here which still had prime fall colors showing along with a layer of fog above the trees. I missed the better shots as I was driving but I made a point to stop at this overlook.
So we are home along with our ecstatic dog. The hubby slept most of the way after we left Tate's and has already gotten into bed to rest and watch some television. I sure hope the doctor can help with whatever is bothering him and he gets back to his normal self. We did start on the portion control diet for eating today. Since he didn't feel well it really did not bother him to eat less! We will see how long that lasts.
We got home to almost 70F weather! Cooler weather is coming in by the weekend though and we will have to put on the heat. I got home in time to meet with my ladies hiking group on Saturday for our monthly hike and it will be cold in the morning when we start out! I love that! My ankle has been bothering me as it has been so stiff since walking on the way home has been very limited. So tomorrow I will walk the dog early and possibly later in the day to try to get it loosened back up. I do exercises but that is not the same as putting weight on it and moving.
I had to make a grocery store run as the refrigerator was almost bare! The portion control dieting started today and I have to say he did really well. Of course, he doesn't feel good so we will so how long he goes without complaining about not getting enough food! Doctor appointment tomorrow morning so better days are coming for him.
It will be good to sleep in my own bed tonight!
