Happy Birthday to me!

56 today!
I reflect on that
I ponder the years that have passed
I delve into the past for the memories
Memories that are woven into time
Love, dreams and ambition to name just a few
The sights the sounds, the music too
I watch my aged father and see who I may yet become
I watch the second hand tick as it leads me on that path
56 it's just a number
But 56 is what I am
But only till tomorrow
