Waiting at the Bus Stop
This is the familiar view from the bus stop in Frogston Road outside the Marie Curie Hospice. I was there this morning meeting with other newly reluctant widows and widowers together with a counsellor.
Straight from that meeting, I took my gingerbread and banana loaf to Maggie’s at the other side of the city for them to sell at their anniversary party tomorrow, while all the time drizzle fell out of a leaden sky on to us poor frozen mortals tramping on sodden pavements below.
I had to thaw myself out once I got home. Ain’t life wonderful!
