Castle Coch

A view of Castle Coch, Tongwynlais, near Cardiff, South Wales, that pokes through the trees and can be seen from most of Cardiff as it looks along the River Taff towards The Bristol Channel.

The castle was built about 1891 on the site of a Norman Castle (1081AD) financed by John Crichton-Stuart (Marquess of Bute), then the wealthiest man in the UK. It's now operated by cadw and you can visit or hire it for weddings!
