Early Morning in the Park
There was little wind this morning which meant I could do one of my regular walks in the Wither Hills Farm Park which is located on the Wither Hills to the south of Blenheim. It is a working farm park with sheep and cattle run on the property. This means absolutely no dogs, apart from the Farm Manager's working dogs, are permitted in the Park. The grasses are deep gold shades in the early sun this time of the year and contrast beautifully with the blue of the sky. The pines visible on the top of the hill are a well known landmark in Marlborough. The views from up on the tracks are wonderful. There were quite a few early walkers up there this morning, all getting in their exercise well before the hot nor-wester starts to blow once more.
