Specialist nurse

Back to Addenbrookes to see a specialist nurse and to be briefed once again about the drug isotretinoin that Sam will take for his acne now that his blood test results have come back normal.  It was a thorough and informative session and we've been given a phone number to call should we be worried about anything.

Very impressive, but NHS cracks were showing elsewhere.  The dispensary seemed to be really struggling with enormous queues both to give in a prescription and then to wait to pick it up.  We overheard people say they'd been waiting more than two hours and there was a lot of very British under-the-breath muttering going on.  

We were lucky with a wait of only about an hour in total, and Sam didn't care, even when his phone was about to die, since he's so happy to be getting this treatment.
