Slow train

I rode the train from Edinburgh to Leicester. The floods caused a two hour delay and I arrived at this Conference just in time. The first two sessions and dinner are now completed. I am presenting a paper tomorrow morning. I hope to be home by 2100 tomorrow night but the railway lines north of Derby are closed by floods this evening. It seems unusually early in the winter to have this amount of flooding.
