Mexican Daisy

Theoretically this wee daisy is a weed, and yes it likes to pop up in random places.  Here it is in one of my terrace boxes home to lavenders, which if you look closely you can see the lavenders, but the daisy has made itself at home and I don't mind it there.  It will get the heave ho when the flowers are spent and it starts to look straggly.
It’s been a hot 29°, no biking. 

There are terrible fires in New South Wales and Queensland, and have been deaths today....the worst day.  We here in the South Island of NZ have had the weirdest pale gold sky with dust and ash arriving here this afternoon some 2000 km from Australia.  If our sky is like this, I'm trying to imagine how terrible it must be over there. The sun being a fiery ball through the haze.  
I did photograph it, but it makes me sad to think all those that are suffering so thought best not to blip it.
