Where has Fife gone?

Approached my blipping with enthusiasm today having decided that today was the day I was going to learn something about this photography lark and rather than scrabble around at 10pm to find something to take - I would have a dedicated outing to deal with the matter. Bounced out of bed sharp-ish and read a chapter of my "using your DSLR" manual over my tea (there is a first time for everything) and vowed not to point and shoot on automatic.

By eight I was down on the beach on a crisp but cloudy morning watching huge 'v's of geese fly south, chatting to what I assume are regular dog walkers and taking in the sharp air.

Even had some unwanted excitement when two dulux dogs took exception to the camera hanging round my neck and went for it - jumping at my face and biting at it. The owners half heartedly apologised and by way of explanation proffered "he is just terrified by cameras". Right - the dogs were terrified? I wasn't feeling hugely comfortable at that point myself! Who knew photography was a high risk sport?

So today's piccie serves as 1) a reminder of the fact that I was up with the lark on the beach, 2) a reminder that I did in fact experiment with the "WB" function having not even known what that was yesterday and 3) a benchmark for future development in this area - I will look back in a year a marvel at my progress!
