in Lyttelton / Whakaraupo

The Māori name for Lyttelton is 'Whakaraupo', which means Harbour of the Raupo Reed - which used to grow profusely at the head of the harbour.

I went over to Lyttelton this morning, for the Saturday market. It's such a vibrant community over there, and I always bump into people I know. Fun!
