Kettering

All the way down to Kettering, today, to deliver a software demo, and then back in the car and home. Which doesn't sound like much of a day but, actually, it was all right.

I left early enough that the drive down was relaxed and enjoyable, and then the software demo went really well, both in terms of how well I delivered it and the enthusiasm in the room, which led to me having a sense of accomplishment that lasted me all the way home.

And then I picked up Dan and Abi and the three of us went for a curry. They were on great form and it was a lovely finish to a good day. (The only issue with the whole day was that I didn't get a photo of anything, so I fell back on taking a selfie when we got home.)

Reading: 'Blue Moon' by Lee Child. I read a blog post a while back about how there's no such thing as a guilty pleasure. But they were wrong; reading Lee Child's books is a guilty pleasure and I know I'll feel grubby afterwards but, in my defence, I simply couldn't face anything else as I needed to recover from 'The Testaments'.
