The day starts with a keynote from Anna Starkey, the creative director of Bristol‘s science museum: We The Curious. It’s an inspiring tale of rebooting curiosity and breaking the mould off how museums engage with their visitors. It’s a shame it wasn’t filmed.

My session is on right after lunch and then I head for Temple Meads and my fourth six hour train ride of the week. Flooding makes it even longer. And they run out of vegetarian food before the trolley gets to me.

I walk through Edinburgh eating chips. Crisp and cold. Freezing fog on the way home.
