Free ride

You can see from my first entry from Neuchatel that the hotel is fairly high up in the town.  The ice rink sits on the shore of Lac du Neuchatel, but the town provides a funicular railway, free of charge, to transport people between the different levels. The journey only lasts about two minutes and the train runs every 4 minutes.  Very efficient public transport system
