The Ronaldo free kick

Ottawacker Jr. has still not digested the humiliation poured upon him three months ago; a decisive, monumental 7-2 thrashing at the hands of his father.

None of the 11 straight victories since have mattered a jot. All anyone ever talks about (i.e. his father) is the 7-2 game. 

Ottawacker Jr. knows there is only one way to get to Madison Square Gardens: practice. And the sound of Little Tipp-Kick footballs flying around the dining-room floor, under bookcases, startling cats... well, it's a price worth paying.

One day Ottawacker Jr. will be avenged. One day soon, I fear.
