Fresh Ice
A few days of small icebergs floating round the island led to this one getting stranded just round the coast from my shag-monitoring colony. We popped round to have a look at it, saw all the smashed up bits lying on the rocks below and decided we could scramble down to pick up a few chunks.
It adds a certain something to your G&T, knowing that the ice has come from the antarctic ice shelf and may be thousands of years old.
