Better Late Than Never

The park run has been cancelled the last two weeks due to high winds and a waterlogged course so today was the first time we've run for a while. The temperature was only just above freezing and, to make matters worse, just as the run started the heavens opened and we did the whole run in icy rain with slippery conditions underfoot. In the circumstances, we were pleased to get round in reasonable times.

The persistent rain meant that Yeovil's home FA Cup tie against Hartlepool was postponed just 90 minutes before kick-off; felt sorry for 'pools' fans who had along, wasted journey.

The rain, of course, eased off by mid-afternoon so Tess & I took a stroll to the supermarket and by the time we came out the sun had decided to do the same, just in time to go down. At least it gave me an opportunity for a blip as we came back across the park.
