Hogmanay

After a night spent swaying in the top bunk as the wind whipped round the safari tent we went for a blustery walk. The beach looked like the moon, and we had it all to ourselves. The beach at Tyninghame is vast and it felt like the blank canvas of the coming year. The wind literally sweeping the old year out. I can't help but look back at Hogmanay. How very very different things were a year ago. I lived in a different city, had a different job and had not yet started my training.

A night of dressing up, bonfires, tagine, much silliness and fizz.
