Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society

A superb concert this evening, conducted by violin soloist Julian Rachlin. 
Prokofiev, then two Mozart pieces, and two encores!
The RNS are off to Vienna with Julian next week, and we were treated to the same program they will be playing.
There was a great pre-concert talk and Julian told us about his 1704 Stradivarius which he has on loan. It has a wonderful sound and is a beautiful deep shiny colour.
We wondered how he manages to travel about with it though, it must be a nightmare for security!
