Steeltown

I am off on my ice hockey travels again. 

Today’s venue was Sheffield. The teams were Sheffield Universities and Edinburgh Universities. It was Edinburgh’s first game defending their British Universities titles from last season. 

It is a long way to go to watch a game, but then it is a long way to go to play. At least I had the comfort of going by train - Junior’s team was crammed into a minibus.

The game is best forgotten. They lost.

Almost everything else today went well. 

The Blip is a little cafe across the street from my hotel, where I enjoyed a coffee after my 5 hour train journey.
