Marbled White

A day off from paid work, but nevertheless I spent the morning walking round Bedford Purlieus NNR, which was looking very lush. I'd hoped to catch up with White-letter Hairstreak, but that was not to be. However, the presence of many Marbled White along the wide grassy rides was some compensation.
