Osprey Sculpture

Sited at the entrance to the Loch of the Lowes Nature Reserve at Dunkeld a sculpture of an osprey with a loch salmon in its ferocious claws. Every year a pair of ospreys return from overwintering in West Africa  to raise their offspring at this protected site. Their activities, from arrival to mating, egg laying and the phenomenal growth of the  fledglings, can be observed from late March to September on a dedicated webcam, as well as from the hides at the edge of the loch.
