Long horns

An aptly-named English Longhorn cow. I once saw some Texas Longhorns and their horns were absolutely huge compared to this guy's, but then everything's bigger in Texas, as they say.

We saw a herd of these cows on a walk round the Longmoor ranges this morning. Six miles with backache (me) and buttock ache (Mr DA) but we feel better for it. The cows live on a large area of heathland in the middle of the military land near a large pond, where they have a fairly idyllic lifestyle, except for the loud explosions now and then from the firing ranges. The only noise today came from the traffic on the A3.

The bull and another cow can be seen in Extras, if you like that sort of thing.
