A Service of Remembrance

R called in past to collect us this morning on the way to Lincoln Cathedral for the Service. She has attended the last 5 years, but this is the first time we have joined her.

Being in Bomber County the RAF was well represented and joined by many other organisations and groups. It was lovely to see so many young people in the congregation, even babies.

Three new Bomber Command Rolls of Honour were presented to the Cathedral.

A very moving and dignified service, but with a warm feeling of being one big family.

A sunny dry, but cold day. We headed back to our house for coffee and cake to warm up. Amber was delighted to see R and play games.......’pinching the slipper and chewing it’ being the most popular.
