Light at the end of the tunnel
A lovely walk today from Tong village . We walked up Keeper Lane, then followed Pudsey Beck, and returned through the woods following Tong Beck, up Springfield bridle way and back to the village.
Last time we did this walk was in July on the hottest day of the year. Temp. about 38C.
Today must be one of the wettest walks of the year. Mud and boggy most of the way.

You could see where the beck had overflowed during the last few days, and left this tree branch blocking the stile.
Still an enjoyable walk, and although only about 6C felt warm as we were well wrapped up.
So many little streams flowing into the becks, which were certainly not there last time.
We also liked the contrast between the green fields and the autumn colours of the trees.
This photo was taken as we walked up Springfield Lane on the way back.
I even managed to do a bit of tidy up the garden when we got back, before it got dark.
