Taking the Strain...
Remembrance went off brilliantly, and I was gently shuffled way down the order of presentations as serving Marines, Army and RAF personnel arrived to present their own wreathes.
There is a pecking order, and the Parish Council Chairman comes between military and church officials. Unless there's an MP... but he came once before... Anyway, we had perhaps a dozen wreathes laid this year.
I think we had more people, scouts, brownies than ever before. Maybe because the road closure covered one of the new estates we also had a lot of new people who turned out to participate and to watch.
After the Remembrance and the breaking down again of all the PA system and then closing the road again for the procession back after the church service it was time for lunch, and then Ivy arrived.
I'm not sure who has the most fun, Ivy or Grandma. But certainly fun was involved. I hope you all had a fab weekend too.
