On Fire

Believe it or not this is a hospital. It’s called The Circle Hospital - one of three private hospitals in Reading. I always think it’s quite ironic that it’s called The Circle, when the architecture is so angular. I actually think it’s beautiful - and today when I drove up and saw these stunningly beautiful trees, looking like they were on FIRE, I was glad I was early for my appointment so that I could take a picture before the sun went down.

I was here to get a cortisone injection in my left foot, in hopes that it will help with some of my foot pain, which the consultant thinks is due to some arthritis in my big toe joint (along with other issues, maybe unrelated).

I drove myself, as I thought I’d be ok to drive home since I drive an automatic. I WAS ok to drive home, but I knew the injection would be painful and it WAS! Like my foot was on FIRE! I had to sit and let it calm down for quite awhile before I left for home, and I treated myself to a coffee and a biscuit for being such a brave girl!!

I ended up driving through rush hour and making two quick stops before arriving home, including a small food shop at Waitrose. I SHOULD have done that ahead of time. I VERY much needed to get off my feet. Once home it was not long before I was in my PJs and had an early night. My foot was NOT happy!!
