Remembrance
I wasn't sure if I was going to go to the Remembrance service and walk in the village but after going to church decided against it as it was so cold. I was looking for the medals I found last year as I had been told you can wear them on behalf of a relative. I found the old tin and there was so much treasure in it: My uncle's Russian medals, ww1medals, 2 half crowns, a florin, a silver thimble, a teaspoon, sugar tongs, an egg cup, commemorative medals and this box containing this ARP badge which must have belonged to my grandfather. Everything needs a good clean and I might remember before next year.
A lovely lunch with the Besties then I popped into Kate's as it's her birthday on Tuesday and I won't see her.
It has been a beautiful winters day today, blue sky ,sunny but very cold I had to scrape the windscreen to go to church, glad I got the scraper etc ready Friday just in case.
