Lord Mayors show

Or lack of... we (I) got the timing kind of wrong, we got to bank during the 'break' and faced a half hour wait for it to come back past.  So, I walked the boys up through the City to meet the husband - we did get to see some soldiers marching, including horses, so the boys were utterly delighted. 

Stayed up in the City for the night (off to St. Paul's tomorrow), which is very exciting for the boys and I managed to see a good few people I hadn't seen for a long time.  

Thankfully, the boys had pretty low-expectations about the trip to London as they didn't know / realised what we were supposed to see, to I could pretend the excitement was the train, 'underneath' train (as they call it), and a walk through the City to meet Daddy.  Phew... I don't think I'll get away with that in future years!
