At The Going Down Of The Sun

A local builder / sculptor / artist called Dan Barton came up with the idea to have a field of fallen soldiers on a prominent hill adjacent to the M40. It is subtle, yet catches your attention. I has drawn a reasonable amount of attention in the press, and consequently it had drawn a pretty reasonable crowd. Dan, the creator, was at the gate into the field greeting people (see extra)


They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
