A Foggy Walk in the Arboretum
No rain today, but it's foggy and chilly...not a good day for gardening, although it certainly would be possible. A shipment of spring bulbs has arrived that I need to plant.
We went on our customary walk to the Hoyt Arboretum in Portland this morning. It was foggy - a great day to try to capture some of those amazing trees. Today's blip is a shot of one of the trails in the Arboretum, winding mainly through Douglas Firs which are one of the most prevalent evergreens in this area.
The extra is of a a grove of deciduous trees also in the Arboretum. They look like maples, although I forgot to read the labels! Lovely place - if you visit Portland, make sure to go for a visit. It's a city-owned park - 190 acres and 12 miles of trails. What a treasure to have so close by!
